Ellucian Luminis to Sitefinity migrations - can Sitefinity be great Ellucian Luminis alternative?

With the end of support for Ellucian Luminis - many higher education organizations will find themselves looking for alternative that is feature rich, allows personalization on a new level and delivers great experience for all constituents (Students, Faculties, IT Staff to name just a few of them).

We are currently in the stage of POC for Sitefinity as a successful replacement and we think it delivers even more.

Some of the things that just click nicely and add a lot of additional value in Sitefinity are:

1. Roles can be used in order to show only relevant pages to the roles.
2. Personalization could be used to deliver different version of the same page with different content to different audiences (so no more duplicated pages, just because you want to have a page called Dashboard for 2 or more roles or constituents).
3. The Net Core renderer allows something amazing - easily creating "Presets". A preset is a section of widgets, that could then be used as a template. This makes it so much easier for content editors than the HTML editors and copying snippets of HTML, changing it manually. It also helps unify the branding and messaging.
   

Those are only some of the immediate benefits. The long-term benefits are that the organization will get a truly flexible solution which is future proof and open to other systems (Sitefinity is a composable DXP, so there are many additions you can mix and match in order to achieve your goals.
